Q: As a long time friend of Seed Heritage, what is it you love most about working
with the brand?
I have been lucky to work with Seed for over 7 years, and the collaborative process is what I love the
most. Throwing ideas around, working with like-minded creatives to produce a shoot, or a range, or an
event that we are all proud of - that’s what brings me joy.
Q: What is it about Seed’s approach to lifestyle and homewares that you love
most?
Relaxed elegance. There is always a high fashion/ design element to every collection, but there is a sense
of ease in the use of materials, colours and style that make it instantly classic but ahead of the curve
at the same time.
Q: Can you share the inspiration behind the collaboration pieces?
I wanted each piece to work as individual pieces or together as a vignette. I love sculptural objects that
feel utilitarian and can be used practically, but at the same can be placed in a living space to stand
alone. When we started discussing the collection, I was introduced to the carefully selected artisans that
the Seed team work with to produce their homewares. It was clear that the emphasis would be heroing their
earthy handmade talent and letting the form, shape and materials speak for themselves.
"Just as you create your look with what you wear, your home should define your style and show how you like to
live."

Q: What did you enjoy most about the design/collaboration process?
The creative collaboration with like-minded people. Design is never a solitary practice. It’s about
working together with creatives from all different backgrounds to create something special.

Q: Which piece from the collection is your favourite, and why?
Oh, that’s hard! I think the jug is my favourite piece as I love that you can use it on the dinner table
to serve guests, or simply sit it on the shelf with a stack of books and candle, where it becomes a
sculptural piece.
Q: How do you create a luxury feel when styling your table?
By using earthy, natural materials that have an element of bespoke. An embroidered linen napkin, a hand
beaten brass cutlery set or a ceramic dinnerware set feels handmade and organic which can be elevated by
masses of flowers and candles. Glamorous and luxurious.
Q: What are some simple tips you can share around making a space your own?
Make it tell a story. Share your personality with the objects that define your own sense of style. Just as
you create your look with what you wear, your home should define your style and show how you like to live.
Create clusters of objects on the coffee table or shelf which may include items from travels or things
passed down through family.
q: How do textures and materials play a role in creating the perfect space or table
setting?
Textures and materials are so important to make a table feel layered. The colour palette can be neutral
and monochromatic but a mix of textures make the space feel interesting, show depth and allow your eye
to
travel across the table.
q: How important is colour in styling your space?
Colour is the simplest way to tell the mood of what you want to create. Dark tones can be dramatic and
soft light tones feel fresh. Colours like red can feel festive or decadent while green can feel organic,
earthy and natural.
