Whether a staple or a statement, knitwear is cosy, comfortable, and makes for a key element in cool-weather styling. Our knitwear is crafted from premium natural fabrics like merino wool, alpaca, and mohair. Each piece is unique, and some blends contain synthetic fibres to increase durability, so will require specific care.
Do:
- Refresh by airing between wears
- Wash by hand wherever possible, in cold water
- If machine washing is necessary – and the care tag allows it – choose a gentle or handwash cycle in a cool temperature
- Use a wool wash or gentle detergent
- Dry clean
- Draw out excess water after washing by rolling your knit in a clean towel
- Dry your knit flat in the shade – you can place it on a towel and pull gently into shape if needed
- Store your pieces folded
Don't:
- Bleach, soak or wring your knitwear
- Wash your piece after every wear
- Expose your knitwear to heat throughout the washing and drying process
- Wash with abrasive garments, for example, those with hardware
- Tumble dry
- Hang to dry, or store hung up, as this can cause the knitwear to lose shape.
Knitwear can be prone to pilling, which is completely normal and is more likely to happen when natural fibres are used. Simply use a knitwear comb to remove pills, and ensure that you take your time, be gentle, and comb in the direction of the fibres. Each blend of fibres has unique care requirements, so ensure that you have a read of the garment’s care tag before washing.
